About Us

Thiessen Landscaping Inc. is owned and operated by Jeff and Chanel Thiessen. Jeff began his journey into the landscaping business when the 2008 recession hit. Thanks to the gift of free push lawn mower off the side of the road, Jeff started a maintenance business out of the trunk of his Dodge Neon. He gradually grew the business, eventually upgraded to a truck and trailer, and ventured into completing hardscaping jobs. 

A while later he was given the opportunity to work for one of the top landscape companies around. There he mastered the trade, but still wished to operate his own business. He opened a new company offering maintenance and hardscaping alike. A short while after he met his now wife, Chanel, and together they opened and built Thiessen Landscaping Inc. as you know it today.

Jeff continually completes courses and networks with fellow landscapers and suppliers alike to stay up to date on industry standards and techniques. Most recently Jeff completed the hours and requirements to become a Techo-bloc pro installer.

Chanel completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph. She also received her diploma from Sheridan College and is a licensed Paralegal. While she used to be by my side working on site, she now works from our home office. When she is not keeping up to our kids, she manages Thiessen Landscaping Inc. and runs the book keeping side of the business.

Together, Jeff and Chanel operate one of the top landscaping companies in Fergus, Ontario specializing in hardscaping during the spring and summer, and snow removal during winter months.
